Who: All sandia Net Members
(regular and irregular) and spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend,
significant other, good lookin' hitchhiker, etc.
When: Saturday, September
18th, 2004
Where: N7RIH Brent &
Dee Littler at the Littler Family Homestead (if you haven't
received an invite, contact
Brent for directions)
Why: Why ask why? Save
the questions for Trivia...
Cost: $5 per person US
- that's $6.55 CDN to you, Rudy!
We'll supply the BBQ beef (probably tri-tip), chicken if anyone
wants it, ice, paper plates, etc.
This is not so much about covering costs; more like trying
to get a rough idea of how many will be here. If you've ever
invited fifty people to a party, who all said they'd be there,
and have five show up, you'll know why.
Time: We'll plan on getting
together around 2 p.m. and eat around 5 p.m. or so.
Details: We have parking
for cars and RV's in a field out back.
- Please bring your favorite dish to share
and BYOB
- Big yard, if anybody wants to pitch a tent
or throw out a sleeping bag
- Motels: talk to Brent for details
- Early arrivals welcome; anytime Friday
or Saturday. You're welcome to stay through Sunday (some
of us still have to work on Monday in order to pay for Diving)
- Talk-in: 146.52 or 7.294 - conditions permitting
- Weather should be around 90 and sunny (or
65 and rainy)
- We have a hot tub available. Bring a swim
suit and towel - sorry no cut-offs allowed
- Entertainment Chairman Jerry (KF6ACR) and
his wife Shirley are planning lots of fun and games. Also,
anyone with a special talent is welcome to perform
- If you can bring your own chairs, that
will help. Extra tables would be great too if you have one,
although I think Gail (K5GFM) is bring some. Please let
us know. Also, if you want real forks and knives, you might
want to bring your own. We'll have cheap, flimsy plastic
ones that will probably break
- We only have one bathroom, which worked
OK last year (Didn't see too many people crossing their
legs. You just don't want to wait until the last minute!).
- Last year, some people brought things to
donate for an auction. It is not necessary, but if you have
any extra pieces of equipment you couldn't even get rid
of on eBay, we'll auction it off and the proceeds will be
seed money for next year
- West Nile Virus is prevalent in this area.
We suggest you bring some insect repellant with DEET, like
Deep Woods OFF.
- If we missed anything, don't hesitate to
ask. Email Brent (N7RIH).
An RSVP is important by September 4th!
